Inserm organises Scientific Symposium on Rare Diseases

In the framework of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (PFUE 2022), and under the high patronage of the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI), Inserm (French national institute of health and medical research) is organising a scientific symposium on Rare Diseases.

The hybrid conference (in-person for specially invited attendees and online for other attendees) will be held on-site and online on February 28th from 09.00 – 12.30 CET at the Ministry of Solidarity and Health, Paris, France.

The objective of this conference will be to review the current state of research and the means implemented for the diagnosis, care and treatment of rare diseases, and the expected prospects for increased collaboration – between Member States of the European Union, public and private partners, research actors – on a European scale.

Dr. Catherine Nguyen (Vice Chair of the IRDiRC Funders Constituent Committee) and Dr. Daria Julkowska (IRDiRC Scientific Secretariat Coordinator) are part of the Steering Committee of the Symposium, and Dr. Julkowska is also one of the speakers. Dr. David Pearce, newly elected Chair of the IRDiRC Consortium Assembly, will participate as a speaker in a round-table discussion on the challenges of public-private collaborations for therapeutic innovation in rare diseases.

Registration is mandatory to attend the conference.
