IRDiRC members Marjon Pasmooij (Head of the Science Department at the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board, and member of Therapies Scientific Committee), Mary Wang (Director Patient Engagement at Genespire, and member of Interdisciplinary Scientific Committee) and scientific project manager Alexandra Tataru participated in the Multi-Stakeholder Workshop on Prioritization of Rare Diseases for ATMP Development, organized by the European Rare Kidney Disease Reference Network (ERKNet), under the The European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA) Clinical Research Network workstream, on 9-10 September, in Heidelberg, Germany.
Dr. Mary Wang was part of the “Expert perspectives: Panel discussion” moderated by Dr. Carsten Lederer (European Paediatric Translational Research Infrastructure).
The workshop aimed to finalize an inclusive framework for rare diseases and offer guidance on which rare diseases are most suitable for the ATMP technology platforms.
