IRDiRC Interdisciplinary Scientific Committee: Call for New Members 

IRDiRC has four Scientific Committees: Diagnostics, Therapies, Interdisciplinary, Regulatory. The Interdisciplinary Scientific Committee (ISC) is a multi-stakeholder, multi-disciplinary group of experts working on rare disease (RD) data sharing, ontologies, natural history, biobanks, registries, ethical and societal aspects of rare diseases. 

ISC would like to broaden the committee membership, to represent the worldwide rare diseases community in its full width, as such, the ISC has three openings for new members. We are looking for rare disease experts from different backgrounds:

  • Demonstrable track record in language learning, ontologies 
  • Pharmacy or pharmaceutical science 
  • Health economics, Health Technology Assessment (HTA)
  • Ethicist 

Desired geographical representation: Africa, Middle East, Asia, Latin America, Low-Middle Income Countries. 

The candidates must agree to active contribution at monthly teleconferences, a yearly face-to-face meeting and regular ISC activities, including article drafting, and email correspondence.
