IRDiRC Diagnostic Scientific Committee (DSC) unites clinicians and specialists in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, molecular diagnostics, and biochemistry to help reduce the diagnostic odyssey for the patients living with rare diseases. DSC plays a key role in identifying the barriers related to gene discovery and diagnosis and actively works to overcome these challenges by developing strategies to address undiagnosed rare diseases, in particular those resulting from complex or undetectable disease mechanisms.
DSC has two openings for new members, and they are looking for diagnostic laboratory scientists from North America, North and Central Asia or Australasia.
The candidates must agree to active contribution at bi-monthly teleconferences, a yearly face-to-face meeting and regular DSC activities, including article drafting, and email correspondence.
If you are interested, please send before 23 July 2025 a CV, biosketch and letter of motivation to scientific.secretariat[at]irdirc.org.
